It goes without saying that Montreuil-Juigné offers both a peaceful and fascinating setting for all outdoor enthusiasts. And there is no better way to enjoy this open and ever-changing landscape than on foot, with map in hand, or by bike, following the old towpath that borders the meandering river and taking-in the engineering ingenuity of the locks at Sautré and Montreuil.  

    Here are some suggested routes:
    'Chemin des écluses', 13Kms, 4 hours (follow the red markers)
    'Coteaux et Bocages', 8kms, 2 hours (follow the blue markers)
    'Sentier de la Mayenne', 17kms, 4 hours & 45minutes, taking-in the three riverside communities of Cantenay-Epinard, Montreuil-Juigné and  Feneu (follow the yellow markers)
