The old 18th-century Presbytery building in Savennières has a room known as the “Salle des toiles peintes”, housing a great many oil-painted canvas panels. They are estimated to have been produced in the 1770s, by painter Marie-Louis-Claude Coulet de Beauregard, commissioned by the Priest Halnost, in charge of the parish at the time of its construction. Visits can be organised all year round by contacting the Town Hall, or see the Information Desk in July and August.
