Crêperie du Château

Visiting Angers for a day or more? After your visit to the Château d'Angers or before a stroll through the medieval streets, come and try THE crêperie in Angers! When you grow up in the region, this is the one you've always heard about - and always in a good light. Here, crêpes and galettes are perfectly buttered, perfectly crisp, yet perfectly melt-in-your-mouth... The recipes are traditional, with touches of originality here and there, whether savoury or sweet. Any fans of crêpes flambées around here? You'll see that they're sure to be a hit! Situated in the medieval heart of the town, just a stone's throw from the château, the restaurant offers a cosy little room, warmed by the crackling fire in winter, and a pretty terrace open in fine weather. We can't recommend that you try it at any time of year, with a bowl of one of the excellent ciders carefully selected by the owners. Don't forget to book in advance: the crêperie is often a victim of its own success!
