‘Pied de Cheval’ oysters with green apple, ginger and sesame; seared scallops, Jerusalem artichoke purée, beetroot and Jerusalem artichoke chips; pear brandy cake, poached pear and Chantilly… That is the kind of evening menu that you can enjoy at 1801 Les Cuisines du Musée. In this restaurant which, as its name suggests, is located at the entrance to the Museum of Fine Arts in Angers, the cuisine is refined, the dishes nicely presented and the flavours are there. In fine weather, we recommend trying the terrace with a view of the beautiful Place Saint-Eloi. Don’t forget that the restaurant is only open in the evenings on Thursdays and Fridays, but is open during the day until 6 p.m. the rest of the week. And Sunday is brunch day!
